Linsey Read Announces Retirement

Linsey Read Announces Retirement

The 2019 Freestyle World Champion Linsey Read announced today her retirement from Monster Jam in a shocking announcement that fans weren’t really expecting.

Read’s career in Monster Jam spans almost a decade. In 2016 she began driving Scooby-Doo!, however took time off in early 2017 for maternity leave. She returned to drive Wonder Woman in its competition debut later that year. For the rest of her career until November of 2023 (excluding the few times she drove trucks like Zombie internationally), she would campaign Scooby-Doo!, even climbing to the top of the Monster Jam mountain in 2019 when she a World Freestyle Championship. However, it was announced that Read would campaign the Lucas Stabilizer for Cynthia Gauthier starting at the Superstar Challenge in 2023 and for the upcoming 2024 season.

Read’s last show driving was this past weekend at the World Finals. Judging by her post and talking to her at the meet and greet, its clear that she’s dedicated to her family and especially her daughters and their careers in racing. Life on the road can be tough especially being away from family for so long.

We would like to congratulate Linsey Read on her incredible career in Monster Jam and we wish her all the best in her future endeavours.
