The Double Down Showdown is finally back… well, sort of. Monster Jam will determine the 24th and final competitor in the World Finals Main Field by hosting the first ever Last Chance Qualifier Competition.
The event will see 12 talented superstars and fan favourite trucks compete on Friday May 17th for that coveted final spot in the Main Field. All 12 drivers will receive 2 qualifiying passes, with this determining the 12 Truck Racing bracket, where the winner will earn the 24th spot and go on to compete on Saturday night in the Racing and Freestyle championships.
The full lineup of competitors are listed below-
Raminator driven by Mark Hall
Vendetta driven by Mike Christensen
Velociraptor driven by David Olfert
Kraken driven by Nick Pagliarulo
Jester driven by Matt Pagliarulo
Megalodon driven by Ashley Sanford

El Toro Loco driven by Jamey Garner
Monster Mutt driven by Chris Koehler
El Toro Loco driven by Joe Foley
OverBored driven by Chad Tingler
And Just Get Er Done Second Generation driven by Brandan Tulachka
This lineup of drivers is definitely one of the most intriguing and exciting competitions we will see on May 18th. There is a lot of talented drivers who would deserve the 24th spot. Interestingly, this list does not comprise of someone who I was hoping for (and to be honest, kind of praying would make it in), that being Matt Cody in Grave Digger. He did forfeit his automatic bid in an incredible display of sportsmanship yes, however I think Matt Cody should deserve a chance to compete for a World Finals invitation.
It will be interesting to see who will take home that 24th spot into the Monster Jam World Finals, and we cannot wait to find out who that driver may be.
