As Monster Jam finishes crowning their series champions, this past weekend the Toughest Monster Truck Tour crowned their Points Series Champion, that belonging to the owner of DCT Powersports and driver of the Dirt Crew Monster Truck, Jerry Beck.

Beck always performs to a high level, however the series championship has alluded him for many years. However now, he edges his name into the history books and finally earns an overdue series championship.

The tour’s championship round in Grand Forks, North Dakota was action packed, as drivers were fiercely battling for that series championship. Some drivers pushed it to the absolute limits of their machines in order to become the series champion. Leave it to Tim MF Jones who had this wild crash:

The points championship came down to the wire until freestyle. On the Toughest Monster Truck Tour facebook page, the post elaborates on the situation regarding the points:

“After a wild storyline leading into Freestyle in Grand Forks, Tyler Groth ties Jerry Beck in wheelies and takes the Racing competition win putting him down by just ONE POINT going into Freestyle…”
