Its official, Sam Boyd Stadium has been confirmed to be officially closed with no possibility of re-opening. This was all confirmed on the latest Inside Monster Jam episode with Scott Jordan, who spoke to both Tom Williams of FELD Entertainment, and Mike Newcombe of UNLV. The answers to our questions were interesting, but honestly not that shocking.

Most interestingly, it was revealed that certain sections of the land belong to different owners, making it all the harder for a company let alone the Clark County to try and purchase the land. People that believed Sam Boyd would be bought out by FELD Entertainment were doomed to be disappointed, as purchasing a piece of land like this, let alone maintaining a stadium simply would not be feasible. Mike Newcombe confirmed on the episode that the stadium has no chances of being brought back, and has only been used for a select few private events since its public closure. It continues to be somewhat maintained although most of it continues to wither away as seen in our America Vlog from earlier this year.

There is a little bit of hope for a stadium show to be held in Las Vegas though. A new baseball stadium will be built in the location of the Tropicana Las Vegas Resort Casino, and this venue has expressed interest in hosting many different events once it opens around 2027. These events include WWE Summerslam, Monster Energy Supercross, and the Monster Jam World Finals. As one chapter in Las Vegas closes, we may see a new chapter open inside this new baseball stadium in the coming years.
